Mohamed Galal Ibraheem , Al-Azhar University, EGYPT
From an early age, I have been interested in dentistry because my family suffered from many dental problems, I have always wanted to be involved in a profession where I am helping people and prevent severe tooth pain. Also, I want to study dentistry over the obvious choice of medicine because as a doctor you are constantly passing a patient along a chain of other doctors, whereas a dentist can treat a patient straight after diagnosing a problem and eliminates pain from the patient. Also, I like that a patient will be your patient for quite some time, building good relationships with that person. Throughout my time at university, I do my best to gain dental skills and recent education so I am able to deal with the pain and reach a fast and right diagnosis. In my dental excellent year, I spent a long time with the pediatric dentistry and preventive oral health team, so I could see the specialty from a more complex side, these strategies need special skills and sense to done and I liked that. Also, I spent a great deal of time reading psychology and oral health care textbooks and study presentation and communication skills. I have really enjoyed the opportunities I have been given to improve my knowledge and skills in pediatric dentistry and community services.
